The Medium and The Message

by Yonina Chan for Manila Bulletin

Fun designs and the freebie element make freecards a great way to learn about new products

As consumers veer away from the hard sell of many a marketing campaign, viral advertising seems to have gained greater ground, whether in the form of popular “underground” media releases online, guerilla campaigns, or subtle, tangible and altogether engaging freecards.

Spot the Librarian

So we love doing dress ups. This was a Labor Day tribute and a team building thing. We had our first ever YOCard Memory Game session where you flip cards to find pairs of and guess who won.... Danny the Magician!

Anywhoo, it was a blast and we'll miss Dimple the Grocer Lady on the far left. We hope she enjoyed her presentation experience with us.

P.S. I was having a major Bo Bice moment.

Freecard Haven

Always wondered what the postcard culture is like abroad. On our recent trip to the States' West Coast, we saw a feast of postcard buffet in record stores, boutiques and even a donut shop. They are placed from shop window sills to an all out free-for-all rack.

YOCard @ NAIA

Taking a sneak peak at the DOT booth inside NAIA has been in our agenda since last year (due to high security, we couldn't display the cards personally). At last, we were able to snap a photo there.
